About The Role
Every high-precision component in advanced manufacturing relies on a seamless supply chain to move parts safely, efficiently, and on schedule. As a Logistics Driver within our Auckland operations, you will play a vital role in keeping our fast-paced production lines supplied with mission-critical materials from local and upper North Island suppliers. This is far more than a typical driving job, it’s an opportunity to be hands-on with an industry-leading engineering team. When you’re not behind the wheel serving as a professional face to key suppliers, you’ll be actively involved in warehouse operations, including forklift handling, vehicle checks, dispatch, and goods receipting. We are looking for a reliable, physically fit team player to join us for a crucial 4-month contract starting asap. If you thrive under tight deadlines, take pride in your work, and want to support cutting-edge technology, this is an excellent opportunity!
What You'll Be Doing
- Pick up and deliver stores, supplies, and precision components across the greater Auckland area and upper North Island in a timely manner.
- Safely operate forklifts to assist with loading and unloading company and supplier vehicles.
- Conduct daily vehicle pre-start inspections to ensure all fleet vehicles are roadworthy, serviceable, and fit for purpose.
- Complete accurate vehicle logs and supporting documentation for transport and inventory tracking.
- Assist the wider logistics team with receipting, store dispatch, and general warehouse support tasks.
- Maintain a professional, high-standard demeanor during all interactions with external suppliers and internal teams.
- Uphold strict health and safety policies, wearing required PPE and reporting near-misses or incidents promptly.
What You'll Bring
- Current Class 2 Driver's License with confident manual shift driving ability.
- Valid NZTA Forklift Endorsement (F) or WorkSafe Site Certification.
- Strong physical fitness and agility to comfortably perform manual handling, vehicle loading, and physical warehouse tasks.
- High level of self-motivation, decisiveness, and initiative to work productively without direct supervision.
- Clear written and oral communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Tech proficiency and comfort using digital systems and technology for logistics tracking.
- Flexibility to handle required after-hours demands, weekend work, and occasional overnight stays (1–2 nights) away from home.
Preferred Experience
- Valid NZTA Dangerous Goods (DG) endorsement.
- Hands-on background in warehousing, dispatch, and inventory management systems.
- Proven track record of working effectively under pressure to meet tight operational deadlines.
