The purpose of this job

Bupa Ballarat Care Home is located on the western edge of Rangiora, just north of Christchurch. It provides rest home, hospital, and dementia care within a modern, purpose-built environment.

As a Cook, while adhering to food Hygiene and Safety you will make an impact on:

  • Menu planning and implementation
  • Food preparation
  • Special event catering
  • Ordering and monitoring supplies

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Qualified Cook/Chef with an NZQA-recognised culinary qualification (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of cooking experience
  • Hands-on, proactive attitude with the flexibility to support all aspects of kitchen operations when needed
  • Dedicated to delivering high-quality meals for our aged care residents
  • Ensure resident confidentiality
  • Reliable transport/ ability to travel to and from the workplace consistently
  • Applicants must be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
