Business Development Manager (Luxury MICE)

JOB SUMMARY The position is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities. Ensures business is turned over properly and in a timely fashion for proper service delivery. Assists in leading all day-to-day activities related to sales with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of sales objectives. Achieves personal sales goals. What we are looking for - A minimum of 3 years of related work experience

• International luxury hospitality brand exposure would be preferred
• Extensive experience working with luxury, MICE, incentive travel, conferences, destination weddings, corporate groups, and high-value tourism segments
• Experience in markets from Europe, the United Kingdom, Middle East, India and North America is highly desirable due to the strategic importance of these markets in driving inbound luxury MICE business to New Zealand.

Job Summary: The Business Development Manager (Luxury MICE) is responsible for driving high-value Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) business to JW Marriott Auckland. This role develops strategic partnerships across international and domestic markets, positioning the hotel as the preferred luxury destination for corporate meetings, incentive travel, association conferences and bespoke events. Working across Marriott’s global sales network, the role proactively sources new business, cultivates long-term client relationships and delivers commercially successful outcomes that maximise revenue across guestrooms, catering, events and ancillary services.
