Kōrero mō te tūranga | About the Role The Financial Markets and Regulatory Institutions Team's work programme is fast-paced and challenging. We advise on a range of high-profile economic policy areas, from banking, insurance and retirement income to capital markets and overseas investment. We’re also responsible for three significant pieces of legislation (the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, the Natural Hazards Insurance Act and the Overseas Investment Act), manage the budget process for the Ministry for Regulation, and lead engagement with Australian counterparts through the Trans-Tasman Council on Banking Supervision. Ō pūmanawa | About You We’re looking for people who bring experience of working in a policy role in the public sector (at least 1.5 years for a Policy Analyst and 4.5 years for a Senior Policy Analyst). You will need a demonstrated ability to: Analyse and think critically about complex policy problems. Turn analysis into impactful advice. Communicate clearly and effectively. Build strong relationships. Work proactively and at pace.
