Mō te tūnga | About the role
Police vetting helps authorised agencies assess an individual’s suitability for specific roles, supporting public safety and national security. This service is provided by New Zealand Police through the Police Vetting Service (PVS). Click here to learn more about PVS.
As a Vetting Analyst you will be working as part of a team processing a high volume of vetting applications each day and determining what Police information may be released to authorised agencies in accordance with relevant legislation and policy. Vetting Analysts consider the purpose of the vetting request, an applicant’s right to privacy, and the risk, relevance, recency, and substantiation of any Police information - including traffic offences, dishonesty offending, property crime, violence, family harm, and all other incidents recorded by Police.
With ongoing training and support, you will develop the skills and judgement needed to contribute to safer communities across New Zealand.
