About the job

This is a full time position of 40 hours per week

The opportunity

Take the lead in shaping the future of our treatment facilities and bulk water network through strategic, integrated and future-focused asset planning. You will develop and maintain Facility and Bulk Network Management Plans, integrate lifecycle planning with investment prioritisation and technical governance, and ensure robust inputs into the Asset Management Plan and capital programme.

You will set condition assessment frameworks and performance requirements, interpret asset health and treatment performance data, and translate evidence into transparent risk reporting and targeted investment needs. You will commission priority investigations, represent planning during project scoping, and work across teams so that capital projects align with regulatory obligations, resilience outcomes and long-term service needs. You will also lead a high-performing technical team focused on reliable, affordable and sustainable outcomes for our communities.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Deep knowledge of water supply, wastewater treatment and drainage systems, including asset lifecycle planning and relevant regulatory frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience developing risk-informed asset management plans, renewal strategies and long-term investment programmes
  • Strong capability in condition assessment, asset health and performance analysis, and translating evidence into prioritised investment needs
  • Experience commissioning technical investigations and providing effective planning input to project scoping and delivery
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Process Engineering
  • 10+ years’ experience in water infrastructure planning, including 3+ years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, manage performance and drive strategic outcomes
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, report writing and visual presentation skills
