About the Internship

This research and development internship would suit a 2nd- or 3rd-year student in data science, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline, with an interest in consumer products.

Comvita’s products are supported by evidence generated across a fully vertically integrated supply chain. This project will investigate how product provenance, quality, sustainability, traceability, certification, and scientific evidence at each stage can be digitally connected to support trusted product claims. This project aims to generate new knowledge regarding the application of data architecture, information modelling, and emerging AI capabilities to strengthen evidence-based product storytelling, product trust, and future digital assurance processes.

The internship will be based in Paengaora.

Start/Finish Dates

Our internships are for 400 hours of work over your university summer break.

Start/finish dates will be set to fit around your university semester dates, but typically start mid-late November through until the end of February. (NOTE: Our business shuts down for a couple of weeks over Christmas so there will be a break in the middle of your placement over Christmas/ New Year's).
