We are looking for a talented Senior .Net C# Software Engineer to work across the design and development of enterprise-grade APIs on our brand-new cloud platform. Key skills and experience we’re looking for:
· 5+ years of recent, hands-on C# and .NET Core development.
· Proven experience designing, building and deploying microservices for cloud-native platforms at scale, delivered in containers and orchestrated on Kubernetes (AWS EKS or similar).
· Strong API design and development skills, including breaking monolithic business processes into decoupled, reusable components.
· CI/CD experience: declarative deployments with automated quality and built-in security.
· Solid testing habits (unit, integration, TDD/BDD) and experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
· Practical experience using AI coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, GPT, Claude) with sound engineering judgement, including owning, testing and maintaining the code they generate, and a clear understanding of responsible data handling.
· Clear verbal and written communication. You can explain complex designs to different audiences and challenge constructively.
Bonus (not essential but advantageous to have):
· Experience with context engineering for AI-assisted development, such as prompt and context design, or building context for AI coding agents.
· Experience integrating with card scheme APIs (Visa, Mastercard), such as tokenisation, lifecycle management.
· Understanding of card payments concepts (PAN lifecycle, scheme mandates) and PCI DSS.
· Contract-first API design (OpenAPI/Swagger/GraphQL) and OAuth / zero-trust authentication principles.
· Experience in banking or another regulated environment.
