As a Digital & Technology Senior Product Lead in this team, you will play a crucial role in Kiwibank’s transformation journey by leading the implementation of our future core banking platform.

You will be responsible for driving the business outcomes within our Core Migration program, including planning and tracking delivery of key initiatives within your squad, while ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall objectives and customer needs.

Key role responsibilities:

• Working closely with other product leads, managers, and delivery partners to plan and track delivery of squad initiatives and effectively manage cross-team dependencies

• Clearing roadblocks to success, making progress and risks visible, and knowing when to escalate effectively to keep delivery on track

• Maintaining a high-quality backlog, working with product managers to develop and define roadmaps, creating a shared understanding of upcoming work

• Defining and tracking squad metrics to support decision-making

• Proactively identifying areas where existing processes can be improved

Key skills and experience we’re looking for:

• Experienced product leader with a strong background in agile ways of working, driving successful product development and delivery by aligning business needs with technology solutions

• Experienced in leading and guiding squads to evolve into high-performing teams

• Highly experienced in agile requirements techniques such as story mapping, user story creation and acceptance criteria refinement

• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where change is embraced and encouraged

• Strong problem-solving skills with a willingness to explore unconventional approaches to solving complex problems

• Previous experience in banking is highly desirable, including familiarity with banking regulations and compliance requirements
