Senior Commercial Analyst Operations

Te Tūranga /About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Analyst to join our Commercial Operations team on a 12-month fixed-term parental leave cover.

Partnering closely with operational leaders across our manufacturing network, you'll help shape commercial decisions through insightful analysis, financial modelling and performance reporting. You'll work across a broad range of operational costs, from labour and plant overheads through to major business initiatives, helping leaders understand performance, identify opportunities and make informed decisions.

Based in either Christchurch or Dunedin, this is a highly visible role where you'll build strong relationships across our sites and become a trusted advisor to operational stakeholders. Te Mahi /Key Responsibilities:

• Provide financial modelling, analysis and commercial insights across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting for operational leaders.
• Prepare business cases, ROI assessments and scenario modelling for key initiatives.
• Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve operational performance.
• Partner with site stakeholders to support informed and commercially sound decision-making.

Ōu Pūkenga /About You:

You're a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys understanding how a business operates and what drives performance. You love getting beneath the numbers, making sense of complexity and presenting insights in a way that is easy for others to understand. Just as importantly, you're proactive in building relationships and enjoy working alongside operational teams to drive better business outcomes.

Ideally, you'll be a Chartered Accountant (CA), although we'll also consider candidates with equivalent commercial experience and a proven track record in a similar role.

You'll bring:

• Experience in commercial finance, management accounting or commercial analysis.
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Databricks or similar analytics tools.
• A solid understanding of operational performance metrics, efficiency and utilisation.
• Experience preparing business cases, ROI analysis and scenario modelling.
• Manufacturing, processing or industrial sector experience would be highly valued.
