You'll play a key role in translating business needs into practical requirements and delivery outcomes that align with Health New Zealand's data and information strategy.You'll facilitate requirements discovery, workshops, stakeholder interviews and backlog refinement, working closely with Product Owners, analytics teams, technical specialists and business customers to understand needs and define effective solutions.A key focus of the role will be supporting agile delivery across analytics initiatives. You'll help coordinate delivery activities, facilitate agile ceremonies, maintain clear and transparent progress reporting, and ensure risks, dependencies and issues are identified and addressed early.You'll also contribute to the governance and operational oversight of Health New Zealand's analytics platforms. This includes coordinating business intelligence application lifecycle, release, access and platform governance activities, while ensuring appropriate consideration is given to security, privacy, data definitions and information governance.The role will work closely with internal teams and external vendors, helping to maintain strong communication and alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle. You'll bring a practical, collaborative approach and help connect business and technical teams to ensure solutions are fit for purpose and sustainable.This is an opportunity to influence how analytics solutions are delivered across a large and complex organisation, helping Health New Zealand make better use of data and insights to support improved outcomes for patients, whānau and communities.About you We're looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst who understands the intersection of business needs, data and analytics, technology delivery and platform governance.You'll bring:A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent depth of experience in business analysis, data and analytics, information systems, delivery management or a related discipline.Senior business analysis experience across business intelligence, data and analytics, digital or technology-enabled change initiatives.Demonstrated experience facilitating requirements discovery, workshops, stakeholder interviews, backlog refinement and solution definition.Strong understanding of analytics delivery practices and agile ways of working.Experience working with analytics platforms, including Qlik or comparable enterprise business intelligence platforms.An understanding of platform governance, access, security, privacy and information management considerations.Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across business, technical and delivery teams.Experience working within a large, complex health, public sector or regulated data environment would be advantageous.You'll be a clear and adaptable communicator who can translate complex business, data and technical needs into clear requirements and practical delivery plans.
