About the Role
- Join the Surgical Department as an ENT registrar. Enjoy the benefits of working in a smaller hospital, experience general and acute medicine, with a supportive team of consultants, house officers, medical students and nursing staff.
- Your roster will allow for you to enjoy all that Rotorua has to offer with longer summers and shorter winters.
About the General Surgery Department
- This is a new position, there will be one ENT registrar providing registrar-level clinical services within Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery (ORL), under the supervision of ORL SMOs, with high-quality, timely and equitable patient care as the primary focus.
- There is no routine after-hours or weekend roster attached to this position. The primary purpose of the role is daytime ORL service delivery, including inpatient care, outpatient clinics, theatre, minor procedures and in-hours acute ORL cover.
- Good support and supervision is provided to our registrars to enhance both their operative and non-operative skills. The department has a strong reputation for supporting our registrars to get onto training.
- This is a department, which will support you throughout your surgical journey.

About you
You will have:
- MCNZ registration and or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Council's website at www.mcnz.org.nz
- A minimum of two years' post qualification experience, and a keen interest in providing acute and general medical care to our community.
