We're seeking a collaborative, people-focused and experienced Quarries Manager to lead our Portland and Wilsonville quarry operations.

This is an opportunity to shape the long-term future of critical quarry resources while supporting a high-performing, safety-led team.

What does the day look like?- Lead and support the safe, efficient operation of Portland and Wilsonville quarries.

• Foster a positive, inclusive culture that encourages learning, coaching, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and communicate the medium and long-term vision for quarry operations and resource development.
• Ensure quarry life planning and pit development remain ahead of future demand.
• Partner closely with manufacturing leaders, regulators, iwi, customers, and local communities.
• Monitor performance against KPIs while balancing operational, commercial, and sustainability objectives.

What you'll bring- Proven leadership experience within large-scale quarrying, extractive, mining, or heavy industrial operations

• A Grade CoC and relevant extraction experience.
• Strong operational and commercial understanding with the ability to lead improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing quarry development, extraction activities, and resource planning.
• Working knowledge of New Zealand regulatory requirements, including health and safety and resource management legislation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical, and influencing skills.
