About the opportunity:

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Quality Coordinator to join our Meadow Fresh Christchurch Site Quality Team on a fixed-term basis. Working closely with Quality, Projects, Engineering and Operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of site capital projects and product commercialisation activities. You will coordinate food safety, quality, regulatory and compliance requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from planning and design through to commissioning, validation and operational handover.

To make this happen, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide quality support and coordination for site capital projects and product commercialisation activities, ensuring food safety, quality, regulatory and customer requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate validation and verification activities including commissioning trials, sampling, testing, documentation and operational readiness requirements
  • Manage project-related QMS, RMP, HACCP, risk assessment and change management activities, including associated approvals and documentation.
  • Conduct project-related quality, food safety and GMP assessments, identifying compliance gaps and coordinating corrective actions.
  • Support regulatory, customer and third-party audits associated with site projects and operational changes.

Note: This is a fixed term role for 24 months.

About You

To make this role a success, we are looking for an experienced Quality or Food Safety professional with a strong understanding of food manufacturing environments and regulatory compliance. You'll enjoy working collaboratively across multiple teams and be confident managing quality requirements within a fast-paced project environment.

Some of the skillsets and experiences we would like to see, include:

  • Proven experience with the implementation and maintenance of food safety and quality management systems
  • A demonstrated understanding of Food Safety and Quality Principles and an understanding of food production processes
  • Degree in Science, Food Technology or related field and Advanced HACCP
  • Experience working in the dairy industry would be advantageous, but not essential
