About the job
About Sandfield
We're a leading Kiwi-owned software business that prides itself on not being a conventional tech company. We have a team of more than 190 people and we're still growing.
Our software keeps supply chains moving for Mainfreight, Qube, HW Richardson and Booth’s, and keeps millions of orders and data points flowing for Foodstuffs. It manages business finances for Team Global Express and Green Acres, helps fill seats on the Interislander for KiwiRail, keeps Les Mills members engaged and helps you park through ParkMate.
Alongside that work, we've built a family of specialist brands and products, each demonstrating exciting growth of their own: Origin Supply Chain, Crossfire Integration, Edge Custom Development and OnAccount Financial Management.
Our people tend to stay, with an average tenure of around six years, and we were a finalist for Best Place to Work in New Zealand in 2025 and 2026. Hear what our people say about working here.
Why marketers will love this role
Most marketing roles give you one product and one audience. This one gives you five brands, customers whose names you already know, and guarantees you will never get bored. Your job is to get more of the right people knowing about it and a burning desire to want it.
You'll join a hands-on team, working across every area of marketing with growth as your main focus. There's room to try new ideas, test new channels and build things we haven't done before, with the freedom to move quickly when an opportunity comes up. You'll work with modern tools, including HubSpot and AI workflows we've already built and want to develop further.
This role suits someone who enjoys connecting positioning and messaging with targeted growth opportunities and brand building to drive real results. This suits a roll-up your sleeves and make it happen, type of person.
It's a great fit if you're a hands-on solo marketer looking for a step up in a bigger business, or a specialist who wants to broaden out and work across the whole marketing mix. Day to day, you'll work with the Head of Marketing, our sales and product teams, our designers and our CMS team.
What you'll do
- Develop and refine positioning and messaging for our products, and carry it through campaigns, content and distribution channels
- Plan and run go-to-market for launches and new offerings with our product and sales teams
- Build data-driven growth plans that generate qualified pipeline across our target accounts and brands
- Run integrated and account-based campaigns across content, paid media, email and partners
- Manage and optimise paid campaigns on LinkedIn and Google Ads for lead quality and return on spend
- Build lead nurture and customer email programmes, and manage the handover of qualified leads to sales
- Lead our SEO and AEO approach, and improve website performance with our CMS team
- Create content that builds our brands and explains complex technology simply with the customer at the centre
- Run and improve HubSpot, marketing automation and our AI workflows
- Track performance across the funnel and keep leadership informed on progress
What you'll bring
- Several years of marketing experience across a range of areas, ideally in B2B or technology
- Examples of growth results you've delivered, such as qualified leads, pipeline or account engagement, and comfort using data to decide where to focus
- A genuine interest in technology and the ability to explain complex ideas simply
- An understanding of how and why businesses choose tech partners and the resulting value they get from reshaping their technology.
- The ability to juggle several projects across different brands and audiences
- A resourceful, adaptable approach, moving quickly on opportunities as they come up
- Hands-on experience with LinkedIn Ads, HubSpot or similar tools, and AI tools in your day-to-day work
