The project is a large-scale, secure operational facility being delivered through a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and joint venture model, bringing together some of the country’s most experienced construction, engineering and service delivery organisations. Designed to operate around the clock once complete, the facility incorporates high-security environments, complex building systems, and long-term asset management requirements. The project environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative and governance-led, with strong interface management across public and private sector stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity to play a critical role in delivering a high-profile, nationally significant infrastructure project. As Plant & Equipment Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient management of all plant and equipment operating across the project. • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers and maintenance providers to ensure timely servicing and repair works
  • Verify that all plant and equipment entering site meets project safety, compliance and operational requirements
  • Monitor equipment availability, utilisation and operational readiness to support construction activities
  • Coordinate equipment mobilisation, demobilisation and site logistics requirements
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with equipment downtime, maintenance delays and compliance gaps
  • Produce regular reports on plant status, maintenance performance, equipment utilisation and upcoming servicing requirements
  • Support site teams in planning equipment requirements and maintenance activities to minimise operational disruptions
  • Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, site security protocols and HSE standards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across plant management, maintenance coordination and equipment compliance processes

About You

  • Proven experience managing plant, heavy equipment, fleet, transport or maintenance coordination activities within major construction, infrastructure, civil, mining or industrial projects
  • Strong understanding of preventative maintenance programs, servicing requirements and equipment compliance obligations
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, subcontractors, suppliers and maintenance providers
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced project environment
  • Excellent organisational, reporting and problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication capability
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach with a strong commitment to safety, quality and project outcomes

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Relevant trade qualification or tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Management, Construction Management, Logistics, Transport Management or a related discipline
  • 5+ years' experience in plant management, fleet management, equipment maintenance coordination or operational logistics roles
  • Experience managing servicing schedules, maintenance programs and compliance requirements for heavy plant, construction equipment or commercial vehicle fleets
  • Strong understanding of plant compliance, inspections, certifications and maintenance management principles
  • Experience using plant management, fleet management, maintenance management or asset management systems
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and operational requirements associated with construction plant and equipment
