Opportunity to work within a supportive and dedicated multidisciplinary teamExperience working with a diverse patient populationConveniently based at Manukau Health ParkHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are looking for a compassionate, motivated and organised Patient Care Assistant to join our General Surgery Outpatient Breast Service at Manukau Health Park.Our Breast Service provides a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care, bringing consultations, breast imaging and diagnostic testing together within an outpatient setting. This integrated approach supports timely, high-quality care for patients with a range of breast conditions, including those diagnosed with breast cancer.As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting patients throughout their care journey. You will provide direct patient care while also undertaking a range of administrative and clinical support duties for our Breast Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists and Consultants.This is a varied role where your people skills, attention to detail, organisation and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team will be highly valued.We currently have two part-time opportunities available:32 hours per week 0.8 FTE36 hours per week 0.9 FTEBoth positions are Monday to Friday, based at Manukau Health Park. Flexibility to work until 6:00 pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays is essential, although the extended hours may not be required every week.About YouYou will be someone who genuinely enjoys supporting patients and takes pride in providing compassionate, respectful and high-quality care.
