This opportunity is ideal for musicians, producers, and audio engineers interested in contributing to the advancement of AI music technology. The role involves supplying real music recordings alongside meticulously edited MIDI files for use in an AI training dataset. You will be responsible for providing songs across a wide range of genres, ensuring that each submission meets strict technical and quality standards. This is a unique chance to monetize your archived tracks while supporting innovative AI research.
Deliverables
- Submit 3–4 minute songs with 1 to 12 unique instruments per track (vocals count as an instrument).
- Provide one lossless WAV audio file (44.1 kHz or higher) per song.
- Deliver two MIDI files per song: one original unedited and one corrected, with note endings precisely matching the audio (within 10–20 ms).
- Ensure at least one instrument per song is performed live with minimal quantization.
- Complete a metadata sheet naming tracks and instruments.
- Genres accepted: Non-Western, Hip-Hop/Rap, Latin, Pop, Classical, Rock, Metal, Jazz/Blues, Soundtrack, Country/Folk, R&B, Electronic, Reggae.
- Rap and sung vocals are welcome.
- Auto-transcription is permitted only as a first pass; all notes must be manually corrected.
- No AI-generated music is accepted.
Requirements
- Proficiency with a DAW such as Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, or Reaper.
- Ability to edit MIDI files to match audio precisely.
- Full rights to all submitted material, with co-writers and performers granting permission for specified uses.
- Willingness to grant the client rights for AI training, derivative works, commercial use of trained models, and publishing model weights for five years (exclusive for AI research).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables.
- Availability to submit multiple songs and communicate details via a provided form.
