Our OpportunityWe are currently looking for Intermediate Bakers and Production Operators to join us at our Quality Bakers Auckland site. We pride ourselves on the quality of our baked goods and you will become an integral member of the manufacturing team ensuring each and every batch is produced with the highest consistency. Reporting to the Team Leader, the purpose of this role is to make a strong contribution to a high performing Production team and team culture within Baking, while performing the duties of preparing ingredients, baking and packaging bread and small-goods products to the standards requiredShift patterns available: Day shift:  Wednesday 11am - 6.15pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6.00am - 6.15pmNight shift: Monday to Friday, 6.00pm - 2.00amAfternoon shift:  Monday to Friday, 12.00pm - 8.30pmPay rate starts at $27.65 per hour plus additonal night shift allowanceKey accountabilities of the role include:Understand the ingredients used in the baking process to be able to make adjustments to batches to provide quality and consistencyLearn to understand and master the whole production line making the difference between good and greatWork for an essential food services industry producing key products for your communityParticipate in developing and mentoring others completing baking qualificationsMake an active contribution to the team environment through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to help build team performanceAdhering to food safety procedures and company policiesEnsuring machines run in an efficient and uninterrupted mannerMeeting deadlines in a busy work environmentAbout YouTo be successful in this role you will need:Experience in plant baking using automated equipment is desireableManufacturing/machine operation experienceStrong Numerical and Literacy skillsHealth and Safety certificates (preferred)Food Safety and Quality certificates (preferred)Strong knowledge of work health and safety with demonstrated experience in previous workplacesPassion for bread and baking with a willingness to continually develop your learningAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentA positive work attitude and professional mannerWho are we:Goodman Fielder New Zealand is one of the largest branded food manufacturers and suppliers in New Zealand, serving customer needs with a portfolio of iconic, trusted food brands that New Zealanders have grown up with and enjoy every day.
