  • $29.90 per hour starting rate with regular pay increases
  • Complete a Mechanical Engineering (Trade) (Level 4) while you earn
  • Fixed-term, full-time: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm

We have an exciting Mechanical Apprenticeship opportunity available for a motivated and enthusiastic person who wants to earn while they learn. This programme provides the opportunity to develop practical skills and build a rewarding career while supporting our Maintenance Delivery team in the maintenance of machinery and equipment. The role includes hands-on repairs, problem-solving, solution design, and project administration.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a team player with good communication skills
  • Has a strong health and safety focus
  • Is willing to work occasional overtime and weekends when required (this would be the exception rather than the rule)
  • Has good literacy skills
  • Has a desire to work in the water industry
  • Is physically fit and enjoys hands-on work
  • Holds a clean, full driver's licence

Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong motivation, and a willingness to learn.

Full training will be provided for the successful applicant. You'll receive industry-leading support while working towards a nationally recognised qualification, gaining valuable practical experience, and developing skills that can lead to a long-term career within Watercare.
