An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Locomotive Engineer Team Leader group located in Wellington Railway Station.
Role Description
You will need to be a current qualified Locomotive Engineer preferably with at least 3 years’ experience, and meet the following criteria:
· Have an excellent working record at Transdev, supported through Team Leaders and Manager experience with you
· A demonstrated record in reliability and punctuality, with the ability to consistently follow rules and procedures
· Reacting appropriately in emergency incidents and demonstrated sound decision making in pressurised situations
· Strong communication skills, and capability of exercising initiative and acting on it within expectations
· Leadership or coaching experience (including tutoring) with the ability to give and take constructive feedback
· Sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to learn new systems
· Flexibility with hours of work is essential including the ability to be on call after hours
· Adaptability to the demands of an ever-changing work environment
