We’re looking for an experienced Group Finance Shared Services Manager to lead and strengthen our Finance Shared Services function across the Group. Based in Christchurch and reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will provide governance and oversight across key shared service areas including global payroll, accounts payable and revenue accounting. This is a senior finance leadership role where you’ll drive consistency, accuracy, compliance, continuous improvement and strong service delivery across finance processes, systems and controls. About the role As Group Finance Shared Services Manager, you’ll lead a capable team and play a key role in enhancing the effectiveness of our finance operations across multiple companies, brands and accounting systems. You’ll be responsible for ensuring shared services are delivered accurately, securely and on time, while maintaining strong controls, clear processes and audit-ready documentation. You’ll also lead initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen governance and support the broader Finance team to meet reporting, compliance and statutory deadlines. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading payroll delivery and compliance across the Group, ensuring payroll is accurate, secure, timely and aligned to legislative, tax and policy requirements

• Providing governance and oversight across accounts payable, payment runs, revenue accounting, reconciliations and month-end activities

• Ensuring supplier invoices, domestic and international payments, cash-flow forecasting and issue escalation are managed effectively

• Maintaining strong Group-wide processes, controls, documentation, policies and delegations

• Supporting indirect tax, financial reporting and external statutory reporting readiness

• Leading, coaching and developing the Finance Shared Services team

• Driving continuous improvement across systems, controls, processes and ways of working

• Partnering with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business to deliver practical, service-focused outcomes

About you You’re an experienced finance leader with strong technical accounting capability, excellent judgement and a practical approach to improving how things work. You enjoy leading teams, building capability and creating structure in complex, fast-moving environments. You’ll bring a strong eye for detail, confidence working across systems and processes, and the ability to balance compliance, service delivery and continuous improvement. To be successful, you’ll bring:

• CA ANZ accreditation, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification

• A minimum of 10 years’ accounting and financial experience

• Demonstrated experience leading or overseeing complex payroll operations

• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance, tax obligations, financial controls and system governance

• Experience leading finance or shared services teams

• Strong project, stakeholder management and communication skills

• Sound commercial acumen and strong technical accounting judgement

• Experience improving processes, controls, systems and service delivery

• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability

• The right to reside and work in New Zealand
