About the role

We are seeking a fixed term (2 years), full-time Infant/Child/Adolescent Mental Health Professional to provide clinical child and adolescent mental health expertise for the Starship Hospital

Services encompassing children and their families/whanau with a broad range of paediatric medical and surgical conditions.

The role provides high quality clinical mental health assessments and interventions for children and adolescents and their family/whanau attending the Starship Blood and Cancer Centre.

About the Team/Service/ Location

The Starship Paediatric Consult Liaison Team is a friendly, hard-working and motivated team that provide mental health assessments and interventions for children; adolescents and their whānau (family) attending Starship inpatient and outpatient services.

This role is part of the Starship Paediatric Consult Liaison Team and will be working in the Paediatric Oncology Service.

About you

To be successful in the role, you will:

• Be NZ Registered in relevant professional discipline
• Have Post graduate Diploma or Masters Degree and/or Postgraduate mental health qualification or equivalent in relevant discipline
• Have clinical experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health
• Have clinical Experience in child and adolescent mental health in paediatric medical settings (desired)
• Have some adult mental health work experience (desired)
• Be a member of relevant discipline specific NZ societies
