Description

We're looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Auckland workshop team based at our East Tamaki yard. In this role you'll help keep our fleet of heavy vehicles, plant and equipment running safely and reliably. From scheduled servicing to fault finding and repairs, no two days are quite the same. You'll work across a variety of equipment, support operational teams when required, and take part in a rostered on-call system. What you'll be doing:- Service and maintain heavy vehicles, civil construction plant and equipment

  • Diagnose faults and complete mechanical and minor electrical repairs
  • Carry out COF checks, servicing, lubrication, fitting and welding work
  • Inspect vehicles and equipment to identify maintenance requirements
  • Complete maintenance records and follow scheduled servicing programmes
  • Help keep the workshop organised, well-stocked and operating safely

About you:- Level 4 Trade Qualification (or equivalent)

  • Current, full Class 4 licence with WTR endorsements
  • Class 5 licence advantageous
  • Experience maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles, construction plant and mobile equipment
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A practical approach with good attention to detail
  • Committed to safe work practices and looking after your team
  • Available to work overtime, night work and rostered callouts when required
