We're looking for practical, proactive people who enjoy being hands-on, see what needs doing and get on with it. You'll help make sure the unit, equipment and supplies are ready to go, support our patients and nursing team, and keep the many practical things that make a busy dialysis service work running smoothly.Tasks include but are not limited to:Prepare dialysis machines, treatment spaces and consumables, ensuring everything is ready for patients and the clinical team.Keep the unit clean, stocked, organised and ready to go, including resetting treatment areas and supporting infection prevention and safe waste management.Manage stock, ordering and supplies, including supporting stocktakes and supplies for our home haemodialysis patients.Support patient flow and the nursing team, providing practical assistance to help the day run smoothly, particularly during busy periods.Assist patients with mobility, transfers, personal cares, meals and activities of daily living, always maintaining dignity and independence.Help with the practical coordination of care, including patient transport, equipment, emergency supplies and general administrative tasks.Think ahead and take initiative, anticipating what patients and the team will need rather than always waiting to be asked.Be a reliable, hands-on team member who helps keep the unit safe, efficient and running smoothly throughout the day. About the Team/Service/ LocationHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
