As Head of Credit Assurance, you'll lead Kiwibank's independent Credit Assurance function, providing enterprise wide oversight of lending quality, credit judgement and adherence to credit standards and obligations across Retail and Business Banking and other activities subject to Delegated Lending Authority.

You'll drive the evolution of Credit Assurance from traditional case reviews to a more sophisticated, risk based approach, combining case assurance with thematic and system level insights. Through independent challenge and practical recommendations, you'll help identify emerging system risk, strengthen lending capability, support safe growth and improve outcomes for both Kiwibank and our customers.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and develop new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following skills and experience:

• Extensive senior credit experience ideally spanning both Retail and complex Business lending, ideally including independent credit assurance
• Significant experience leading sophisticated, risk-based assurance programmes across diverse lending portfolios
• Strong knowledge of credit policy, lending processes, Delegated Lending Authority frameworks and relevant lending, conduct, customer and regulatory obligations
• Proven ability to identify systemic themes, judgement drift and root causes, translating findings into practical and actionable business insights
• Executive level credibility, judgement and resilience, with the confidence to provide independent challenge, hold your position when findings are disputed and escalate material concerns appropriately
• Proven people leadership experience, including building specialist capability, leading through change and developing high performing teams
