Repairs & Spares NZ are your one-stop shop for all new and used agricultural parts, regardless of your make and model. One of the largest dismantling yards in the South Island, not only do we carry a comprehensive range of second-hand, refurbished and aftermarket parts, we also offer cost effective on-farm or in-house servicing, repairs and maintenance of the full line-up of agricultural machinery. Based in Ashburton but providing services across the country, we’ve grown our business over the last 10 years through solid customer service backed by extensive knowledge and experience across our team. As part of the Drummond & Etheridge group, we combine the practical, no-nonsense approach of a specialist parts and repairs business with the backing and career pathways of a wider agricultural equipment network.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Groomer to join us, providing support across all functions of the business by ensuring all new and used parts and machinery reflect the high R&S standard before heading out of the gates!

About the Role

This opportunity will see you:

• Grooming and refurbishing new and second-hand machines, including cleaning, painting and general touch-ups.
• Assisting the Parts Team with preparation of second-hand parts for sale and dispatch.
• Ensuring the site is in top shape with regular yard maintenance and upkeep.

About You

Apart from being mechanically minded and taking pride in the presentation of your equipment, we’re looking for a strong team player who enjoys variation and can shift between tasks to support the team where needed.

Ideally you’ll also have:

• Experience working with and around agricultural machinery.
• Previous experience providing grooming/refurbishment services.
• Experience in general yard maintenance or groundskeeping tasks, with a keen eye for finding areas needing attention.
• A full driver’s licence for pick-ups and drop-offs.
• A tenacity to find solutions and catch a curveball, making sure you get the job done.
• The ability to work in a team or independently.
• Personal organisational skills with the ability to plan ahead and juggle competing demands.
