Driver Trainer

Are you passionate about training and mentoring others? Join our Air Liquide Operations team as a Driver Trainer and play a key role in supporting our organisation on a national scale. You'll get hands-on experience across a broad range of training activities & industry specific DG experience, and you will be making a difference by helping our drivers be the best versions of themselves.

Your responsibilities will include

• Conducting pre-employment drive assessments and vetting prospective employees on all aspects of truck driving
• Participating in our driver & customer induction programmes to integrate new drivers into the business.
• Maintaining and monitoring driver training requirements
• Executing classroom and practical training plans
• Providing coaching and counsel to drivers, and escalating performance issues as necessary
• Utilise our systems to analyse driving trends and suggest/implement corrective training approaches

This is a full-time position based at Auckland Penrose, with travel to our other sites required. Standard hours of work are from 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday although weekend work, start/finish times change as required depending on training needs.

Ideally, you'll bring

• Current clean Class 5 licence with a minimum of 5 years’ NZ driving experience
• Current Dangerous Goods (D) endorsement.
• I (Instructor) endorsement and HSNO certification are highly desired.
• Proven experience in coaching, training, or designing training programs.
• Sound computer literacy and familiarity with transport-related systems.
• A strong commitment to health, safety and compliance.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and openness to suggestion.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and lead.
