Are you a licensed, skilled Machine Operator looking for an action-packed fixed-term role leading into the peak summer season? Mighty Ape is looking for an experienced Dispatch Machine Operator to join our busy Warehouse team for a 10-week fixed-term contract, wrapping up on Monday, 21 December 2026. In this role, you will run automated dispatch equipment, ensuring customer orders are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently to hit daily courier cut-offs. You will take ownership of your assigned machine—handling pre-start checks, loading consumables, clearing minor stoppages, and maintaining high throughput standards.

Job requirements

Required Certifications & Licences:- Stock Picker: Formally trained and experienced in operating Stock Pickers (Order Pickers).

• Counterbalance: Active Counterbalance forklift licence with recent hands-on experience.
• Heights & Harness: Valid Working at Heights certificate and Harness Training certification.
• Experience operating Crown TSP (Turret Stock Pickers) is a major advantage.

Skills & Experience:- Proven experience operating machinery in a fast-paced warehouse or manufacturing environment.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to safely clear minor jams and troubleshoot basic operational issues.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality control.
• Full availability to commit to the entire 10-week contract duration through 21 December 2026.

Job responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and run dispatch machinery to SOPs and manufacturer instructions. Monitor throughput, load consumables (labels, film, tape, strapping), and clear jams/stoppages safely.
• Maintenance & Care: Complete daily pre-start checks, perform routine clean-downs, keep work areas hazard-free, and report mechanical faults promptly to your Team Leader.
• Quality & Accuracy: Ensure 100% scanning accuracy, verify seal integrity and label placement, and re-process any items that do not meet output standards.
• Health & Safety: Strictly adhere to isolation, lock-out, and machine-guarding safety protocols. Wear required PPE and uphold our "Be Safe" core philosophy.
• Team Collaboration: Assist with general dispatch and warehouse tasks as operational demands change.
