About the Role

Deliver high-quality dietetic care across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting patients and whānau to achieve better health outcomes through evidence-based nutrition practice.

This position offers a varied and rewarding caseload within a busy acute hospital setting. Based primarily in Tauranga, there will also be opportunities to provide occasional cover and support services in Whakatāne, contributing to a responsive and connected dietetics service across the region.

The Dietetics Service at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty provides care to a diverse adult and paediatric population across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. About You

You will be an experienced Dietitian with a strong clinical foundation and a passion for delivering high-quality nutrition care. You will be confident working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to improving health outcomes for all populations, particularly Māori.

What you will bring:

  • Registration with the Dietitians Board of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate with Prescribing endorsement
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting, with recent adult inpatient hospital experience being essential
  • Sound knowledge of the Nutrition Care Process and clinical documentation standards
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and care planning skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary team members
  • Commitment to culturally responsive practice and improving equity in health outcomes
