Key Responsibilities
- Correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage while preserving meaning.
- Apply the supplied editorial style consistently across each document.
- Check names, numbers, headings, and cross-references for consistency.
- Query wording that is ambiguous or unsupported by the source.
- Return clean copy with unresolved style decisions clearly marked.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old and able to communicate in English.
- Ability to correct language and style without changing intended meaning.
- Ability to apply editorial rules consistently across a document.
- Reliable high-speed internet and a suitable home-working setup.
- Previous copy editing, proofreading, or publishing experience is helpful but not required.
