Mō tēnei tūranga | About the opportunity

We're looking for a FinOps Analyst to join Fonterra on contract and play a key role in the implementation of our Apptio Technology Business Management (TBM) platform and the establishment of a new FinOps capability.

This role requires hands-on Apptio TBM experience and is suited to someone who has previously worked with the platform in a Technology Business Management, FinOps or Technology Finance environment.

Working closely with the Head of FinOps, you'll help build the foundations that enable greater visibility, accountability and insight into technology and cloud spend across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to be involved from the start of a major transformation, partnering with Technology, Finance and business stakeholders to improve how technology investment is understood, managed and optimised.

You'll work directly within Apptio to support platform configuration, cost modelling, reporting and analysis, helping establish a sustainable TBM and FinOps capability that will have a lasting impact across Fonterra.

What you'll do

• Support the implementation and ongoing configuration of Apptio TBM.
• Build and maintain cost models, allocations, reporting and dashboards.
• Analyse technology and cloud spend to identify trends and optimisation opportunities.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve cost transparency and financial accountability.

You're naturally curious, analytical and commercially minded, with a passion for turning complex data into meaningful insights. You enjoy working with stakeholders, solving problems and helping organisations make better decisions through data.

You're comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, can quickly get up to speed on new challenges, and enjoy balancing detailed analysis with practical outcomes.

You'll bring

• Hands-on experience with Apptio TBM (essential).
• Experience supporting TBM, FinOps or Technology Finance initiatives.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A proactive, delivery-focused mindset and willingness to get hands-on.

This role will suit someone who has worked with Apptio TBM, enjoys solving complex cost and data challenges, and wants to play a key role in building a FinOps capability from the ground up
