Clinical Nurse Specialist - Southern Dialysis ServiceSouthland Hospital, Permanent 0.8 FTE role Salary between $118,941 - $130,866 per annum  Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Southern Dialysis Service in a newly developed CNS role working as part of a team of three Dialysis CNSs across Dunedin and Invercargill.You'll provide advanced clinical care for people living with kidney disease across home, community, outpatient and hospital settings, supporting patients and whānau through different stages of their dialysis journey.Tasks include but are not limited to:Providing advanced assessment, clinical decision-making and specialist dialysis care.Supporting home haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis through clinics, home visits, training and ongoing review.Providing specialist input for complex and acutely unwell dialysis patients.Coordinating care across home, community and hospital settings.Providing specialist advice, education and coaching to patients, whānau and staff.Leading and contributing to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and new models of care.Championing equitable, culturally safe and patient-centred care. About the Team/Service/ LocationHealth New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora - Southern has the largest geographical coverage of all the New Zealand regions, providing services to 350,000 people in diverse communities.
