The team offers timely specialist advice, education, and liaison with community providers to help ensure seamless transitions across primary, secondary, and tertiary care.About youYou will be an enthusiastic and motivated senior nurse with excellent knowledge of palliative care, strong assessment capability, and the confidence to advise, support, educate, and mentor others. You will bring clear, respectful, open, and friendly communication, along with sound clinical judgement and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. We are also looking for the following:A minimum of 45 years post-registration nursing experience.Experience in specialist palliative care or as a ward palliative champion.Recent experience in oncology, haematology, or related palliative care subspecialty interfaces is desirable.Proven clinical leadership, initiative, and the ability to contribute positively within a multidisciplinary team.Ability to support, advise, train, and educate clinical teams, with strong liaison skills across community and hospital services.Working at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
