This Clinical Director role will be responsible for ensuring optimal delivery of high quality clinical-cultural care which upholds Māori cultural integrity and ensures cultural safety, and provide visible leadership that integrates clinical governance with tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori at service and divisional level. Within the role there is scope for director patient care, teaching, and supervision.About youYou will be an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with a vocational registration.Hold a current NZMC Registration and current practising certificate.Have adequate experience in the Mental Health and Addiction Sector.Strong consumer/tāngata whai I te ora and family/whānau focusStrong clinical experience and experience in quality systems, policy development, professional networking and Māori community settings.Proven leadership skills, experience in training and overseeing medical professionals, cultural competence, ability to work in a multidisciplinary cultural team and a belief and commitment to promoting Māori values in clinical and cultural practice.Preferably have Te Reo Māori and/or Tikanga QualificationWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
