About the job
Job description
There aren’t many opportunities to help reshape a brand that has been part of New Zealand life for more than 30 years.
This is one of them.
Sky is in the middle of something significant. We've just nailed a brand refresh of Neon, and we're now building a new brand strategy across our entire ecosystem—rethinking our role in people's lives, how our brands work together, and how Sky shows up in the world. This is the strategic work that shapes everything else.
We're looking for an ambitious brand marketer who gets it. Who understands that brand is strategy, not just campaigns. You’ll work closely with our Brand Lead, senior leaders, creative and strategy partners and teams right across Sky. You’ll be exposed to the thinking behind the big brand decisions, while playing a hands-on role in bringing the brand to life day to day.
This is your chance to work on three iconic Kiwi brands as we build for the future. If you're ambitious about brand, want a role where your thinking shapes what happens, and care about getting it right, this is it. Job requirements
This is a true brand role with plenty of variety. You'll be part of the strategic conversations shaping Sky’s next chapter, while also owning the day-to-day work that brings the brand to life and keeps it consistent across the business.
You'll work alongside the Brand Lead on strategy, positioning, architecture, identity, audience and customer thinking, and creative development. You'll be a key part of those conversations and be responsible for turning the thinking into action.
You’ll be the go-to for day-to-day brand queries, helping teams navigate brand requirements and approvals, and working with our Creative team and agency partners to make sure the work is on brand and up to scratch.
You'll also help drive the growth of Neon following its refresh and support Three and Three Now. You'll be thinking about how our brands work together and where they're heading. Job responsibilities
- Support the Brand Lead to develop and evolve Sky’s brand strategy across the brand ecosystem.
- Help develop our brand architecture, ensuring Sky and our portfolio of brands each have a clear and compelling role.
- Help shape and manage the evolution of our brand identity, distinctive assets, tone of voice and messaging.
- Work closely with our internal Creative team and external agencies to deliver distinctive, effective work that's on brand.
- Help bring the brand strategy to life across the Sky organisation.
- Support the ongoing brand development of Neon and Three.
- Bring customer, cultural and market thinking into the work and challenge us when there’s a better way.
- Be the go to person for day to day Brand questions and approvals.
- Help manage projects, agency relationships and budgets.
- Monitor brand performance and help us understand what’s working, what isn't and where we should go next.
Job benefits
We’re looking for someone to help shape the next chapter of Sky. You’ll help evolve how Sky, Neon and Three show up in the world, while bringing the brands to life day to day. You’ll ideally:
- Have solid brand experience, with exposure to brand strategy, positioning, identity or brand development - not just campaign delivery.
- Be curious about people, culture and what makes brands matter, with a genuine passion for great brand and creative work.
- Understand the bigger picture, you question the status quo when there's a better way, and you know how to turn thinking into outcomes that drive the business.
- Be a strong communicator who can build great relationships and work comfortably with senior stakeholders, creative teams and agency partners.
- Be organised and proactive, with the ability to keep multiple projects moving and make things happen.
- Have a sharp eye for detail and a high bar for the quality of the work.
- Be someone who gets stuck in, takes ownership and wants to keep learning.
