1.0FTE (40 hours per week) permanent positionShifts rostered to suit service requirementsHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in theprinciples of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health systemthat serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleWe are seeking a fulltime Associate Clinical Nurse Manager(ACNM), to provide nursing leadership, advanced clinical care and nursingexpertise covering a wide range of clinical specialities includingNeurosurgical, Cardiothoracic, Paediatric, Spinal, Trauma and General ICUNursing. The majority of our patients are acute admissions whichrequires an adaptive management style in an ever-changing clinical environment.The ACNM supports the ICU Nurse Manager and is responsiblefor the day-to-day operational management in our department. Leading ateam of nurses on a shift-by-shift basis you will be the liaison person betweenthe Department and users of the service.  In addition to this you willprovide leadership to an assigned group of nurses and hospital aides providingthem with professional guidance and support. You will have the opportunity tobe involved with other clinical projects in the department and will hold anumber of departmental portfolios. By utilising your extensive intensive care knowledge,experience and clinical skills you will be able to initiate ongoing expertnursing care. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills bydeveloping therapeutic relationships with all staff.
