Good information matters. Especially when it tells you what's sitting underground, where an asset is located, or what's actually out there on the network. We have two opportunities as Asset Information Coordinators, on a 9-month and 12-month contract helping keep the information behind our electricity network accurate, current and useful.This is one of those roles where being naturally curious is a real advantage. You'll work with as-built drawings, network information, asset records and spatial data, piecing information together, spotting when something doesn't quite add up and making sure the right information ends up in the right place.And while there are systems involved, this isn't just about sitting in front of a screen entering data. That will see you:Interpret as-built drawings and turn them into accurate asset informationMaintain network information across our geospatial and asset management systemsProcess underground cable location records and help make reliable information available to those who need itCarry out quality checks, investigate inconsistencies and correct errorsUse spatial information and analysis to help answer questions and support decisionsRespond to information requests from across the business, contractors and third partiesHelp clean up historical or migrated data and improve the way information is managedLook for opportunities to make processes, procedures and data quality betterAbout youYou'll enjoy this role if you're someone who likes a mix of structure and problem-solving. You can work methodically without switching off your curiosity and you're comfortable asking questions.You'll also bring:NCEA Level 3 or equivalent experience where a relevant tertiary qualification would be usefulExperience working with electrical utility data, GIS or asset management systems advantageThe ability to interpret drawings, plans or as-built documentationGood analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to accuracyThe ability to organise your workload and keep things movingGood communication skills and a collaborative approachA willingness to learn, adapt and get stuck inWe offerYou'll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
