Are you a qualified ASME IX Fitter/Welder looking for your next opportunity? IMG is seeking experienced tradespeople to join our team for ongoing industrial piping work in the Tasman region.
This role is only suitable for candidates with proven ASME IX welding capability.
Position: ASME IX Fitter/Welder
Location: Kawerau
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

Job Responsibilities:
- Fabrication, fit-up, and installation of industrial piping systems.
- ASME IX welding of stainless steel and carbon steel pipework.
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, fabrication drawings, and P&IDs.
- Install, modify, and test piping systems to required specifications.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and quality.
- Work effectively within a team environment and independently when required.
Requirements:
- ASME IX welding qualification and experience is essential.
- Demonstrated experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping.
- PVC/CPVC Schedule 80 industrial piping experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Must have the ability to speak and understand English clearly.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
- Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
