Common mistakes

What costs support worker CVs interviews.

  • Only saying you're caring.

    Show it: who you supported, how, and what that let them do.

  • Leaving out your checks and training.

    List Police vetting, first aid and your certificate. Employers need them.

  • Using clinical language for home support.

    Describe support in plain, respectful words, the way you'd explain it to a client's family.
